Silverstone Clean Sweep.

The new racing season has started as the old one finished: Works Racing’s engines powering the bikes that finished in 1st and 2nd places in all four of the ‘Bonhams Lansdowne British GP Championship’ races at Silverstone this weekend.

Izzard Racing’s Dean Stimpson comfortably won three but Sam Clews won the race of the weekend, in which the first three bikes were covered by only 0.6s at the finish line. In the 350cc class David May made a welcome return to the Series with a brand new 350 engine straight off the Works Racing ‘production line’. He ran the bike for the first time in the Friday test sessions and then after some late-night tweaking picked up one win on Saturday and another on Sunday.

The next Lansdowne Series event is at Donington in May, but Works customers will be out in force at Cookstown and Tandragee in Northern Ireland before then over the last weekend in April and the first in May.
